2015 Parker Roussanne

Camp 4 Vineyard

Wine Origin:

Camp 4 is a superb site, the east-west orientation of the Santa Ynez Valley is structured by the Santa Ynez Mountains to the south and the San Rafael Mountains to the north.  Fog tempers the summer heat, allowing for a longer ripening season, resulting in a gradual and thorough development of the fruit clusters.  The gravelly soils are well drained allowing the vines to produce wines with concentrated flavors.

Winemaking Notes:

The 2015 Parker Roussanne was harvested by hand in the first week of October. After hand sorting and a gentle whole cluster press, the wine was put into neutral French oak vessels and fermentation commenced.  The wine remained in barrel for 15 months.

Tasting Notes:

The 2015 Parker Roussanne is fresh, rich and inviting.  The wine exudes honeysuckle, and ripe pear on the nose.  On the palate, the wine is filled with orange marmalade and nectarine, and a medium weight.  The finish is both firm and satisfying.  90pts WE June ’18
