Roblar Vineyard is a superb site, the east-west orientation of the Santa Ynez Valley is structured by the Santa Ynez Mountains to the south and the San Rafael Mountains to the north. Fog tempers the summer heat, allowing for a longer ripening season, resulting in a gradual and thorough development of the fruit clusters. The gravelly soils are well drained allowing the vines to produce wines with concentrated flavors.
The 2015 Mourvedre was harvested by hand in the second week of October. After hand sorting and a gentle press, the wine was allowed to macerate for 24 hours before being pressed off. Fermentation commenced in stainless steel. The wine was then aged in neutral vessel for 15 months.
The 2015 Parker Rose is salmon in color, the wine has a pleasant bouquet of violets and rose petals. On the palate, the wine is round and balanced with notes of blood orange and Provencal herbs. The wine is very versatile at the table and has the substance to be enjoyed year-round.
